Almost certainly. We hand a print-ready PDF to your OS print dialog, so any card printer with a Windows or macOS driver works (Fargo, Zebra, Magicard, Evolis, IDP, the lot). We've added recommended-settings tips for popular models to save you fiddling with the driver UI; for exotic hardware you'll just pick 'Other / Generic CR-80' and the standard print path takes care of the rest.

No. Every plan prints from the browser: BadgeBadger hands a print-ready PDF to your computer's print dialog. The optional Print Agent is a small Windows or macOS app for the computer your card printer is plugged into. With it, a print is one click with no dialog, and anyone in your organization can print to that printer from another computer, a phone or a tablet.

Encoding is on the roadmap, with no date yet. It will need a small helper app on the printer's computer, because browsers can't drive PC/SC readers directly. If you need RFID today, email us. Knowing who needs it helps us decide when to build it.

Mag stripe encoding (Track 1/2/3, ISO 7811) is on the roadmap, with no date yet. Browsers can't talk to stripe encoders directly, so it will need a local helper on the printer's computer, the same as RFID.

It runs in any modern browser. No install. Operators on Windows and macOS use Chrome 111+. Kiosk mode works on iPad and Android tablets.

Yes. Each organization on your account has its own brand color and its own set of templates, so every location, department, or brand keeps its own look. Logos go into the templates themselves.

Photos are encrypted at rest and scoped to your organization. Deleting a person removes their photos right away, a closed account's records are deleted within 30 days, and accounts no one uses for 12 months are closed after a warning. Every print and reprint is logged. SOC 2 hasn't started yet.

If you need cards encoded with RFID, MIFARE or a magnetic stripe today, or sign-in through SSO or SCIM, BadgeBadger can't do that yet. And if you print a handful of cards a year and don't own a card printer, a service that prints and mails the cards will cost you less.
